Born and raised in York County, Rutter’s Director of Food Service Ryan Krebs believes that this recognition has much to do with Rutter’s restaurant mindedness and a commitment to quality and innovation.
“Food is an experience…we want to know where it comes from. We photograph it; we share it with our friends. The experience is just as important as the food itself,” he says. “People and their relationship with food is so embedded in our culture. We have many familiar faces who come into our stores. Our managers know our customers by name. When you’re a part of people’s daily routine, you have to execute at a high level.”
That execution can be found among the 13 certified chefs on staff, the more than 55 local food providers that work with Rutter’s and the focus on local, sustainable food and beverage products.
