Thomas A. (Tom) Stickney, private wealth advisor and president, acknowledges his team’s combined 39 years of financial industry experience and support from Ameriprise Financial, which just celebrated its 125th anniversary of service. “Jake and I are CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioners who have a commitment to putting our clients’ needs first,” he says. “We spend time getting to know our clients because we want to serve them with honesty and integrity.”
Through seminars and events, one-on-one technology training and other community outreach activities, Stickney and Associates provides their clients with knowledge to help them understand the resources available to help them make informed decisions. “We take pride in presenting information in a way that empowers our clients and helps them understand that decisions are based on their individual circumstances,” adds financial advisor Jacob (Jake) Mendoza.
Service isn’t just something these financial advisors appreciate when they go out for lunch at restaurants such as The Handsome Cab in downtown York. Service is about giving back to the York community where Tom, Jake, and financial advisor Donald (Don) Bond are proud to live and work. Both Tom and Jake are actively involved with their respective churches. Stickney and Associates regularly supports community organizations such as the YWCA York and York County Libraries and causes such as Toys for Tots and the Ameriprise National Day of Service.
“We focus on building deep relationships with our clients from the initial meeting throughout the years and provide advice as their goals change,” Don says. “We meet face to face often. The reward we get from doing what we do comes from our clients achieving the goals we’ve helped them plan.”
