Engineering a Commitment to Customer Service

Hospitality is one of many diverse industries Paragon serves. Locally, within the hospitality industry, Paragon has provided Collusion Tap Works in downtown York’s Royal Square neighborhood and Hauser Estate Winery in Orrtanna (Adams County) with electrical, mechanical and plumbing design services that helped these companies go from blueprints to open for business.
“We continually adapt our design capabilities by coming up with out-of-the-box ideas that can help our clients achieve their goals,” Rumsey says. “In the hospitality industry, we adapt based on what our clients can afford while helping them maintain design to code, get open and become profitable.”
The creation of Wolfgang Confectioners’ production facility in Loganville illustrates Paragon’s engineering work in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design services, Thompson says. To convert a former 56,000-square-foot printing factory to a full candy manufacturing facility, Paragon provided engineering design to upgrade the facility’s HVAC system to low-temperature cooling needed for new candy processing and packaging equipment for two candy lines. Paragon also assisted in designs for three additions, totaling approximately 80,000 square feet. The resulting building will have two additional candy lines, storage for raw and finished goods, and expanded employee support areas.
“With the Wolfgang project, Paragon has worked under very constrained time frames all the while still producing high-quality work that we were very satisfied with,” says Wolfgang Confectioners President Sam Miller. “They have a unique ability to understand needs and translate them into effective design.”
