For more than 34 years, Victor’s has served longtime patrons and new guests in a setting that evokes the feeling of a charming Italian bistro in the comfort and hospitality of a cozy York neighborhood.
The cultural immersion begins around Victor’s distinctive conversation bar, where cocktails are created and glasses brim with beverages from craft beers to more than 100 wine offerings. Living up to its name, conversations flow around this bar, mingling in time with the music of jazz and Sinatra — contributions courtesy of artists such as Kris Kostoff, Jeff Stabley, Tim Warfield and James Young.
Come to the table … inside or out. Whether seated in the dining room, out on the Bella Patio or by the backyard bocce court, Victor’s delivers fresh, cooked-to-order dishes in an atmosphere that encourages you to relax and dine in leisure. Just as every family has its heirloom recipes, Victor’s delivers on the classics: Veal Saltimbocca and the Parmesans (eggplant, chicken and veal). Incorporating as much local produce as possible into his dishes, Executive Chef George Sheffer brings sumptuous seasonality to stuzzichini (snacks) and prezzo fisso (chef’s table) pairing colors and textures for the palate, complete with accompanying beverage suggestions from the sommelier. Traditions are part of any culture, and Victor’s upholds its own outdoor recreation tradition of bocce. This summer marks the 34th year of a bocce league uniting novices and seasoned players over the toss of the pallino.
