This community of makers and creators is represented through every movement and every routine of competitive gymnasts and dancers from Olympic arenas to performing arts stages across the world.

Since 1969, a team of talented associates at Perform Group has been designing, marketing and manufacturing dance performance wear and gymnastics attire worn by Olympic athletes and professional adult and youth dance performance artists. Based in York, Perform Group is a specialty apparel manufacturer creating uniquely styled products for the dance and gymnastics markets under its brands Alpha Factor and Curtain Call.

Tighe King, CEO of  Perform Group, attributes the company’s accomplishments to its associates from design through manufacturing who consistently exercise creative excellence. “We’ve always tried to maintain the highest level of customer service and quality in our work,” he says.

Key to Perform Group’s growth has been the strength of the legal services provided by professionals at CGA Law Firm.

“Our relationship with Perform Group is a long and lasting relationship,” says Attorney Anne E. Zerbe, who, along with Attorney Andrew Paxton (Of Counsel to CGA Law Firm), has provided legal counsel to Perform Group.

“The relationship began organically between one of our founders, Gary Gilbert, and Tighe King. As Perform Group’s business has grown over the years, and as CGA has grown and expanded, the relationship developed to encompass specialized needs of Perform Group,” such as consulting and global business agreements, and individualized business and employment matters.

“Other businesses see that productive relationship, and they want to associate with places and people who are committed to ensuring the success of business partners in this community,” she adds.

“I’ve found CGA Law Firm to have the talented attorneys who could provide everything that I needed from A to Z to grow this company,” King says. “What makes York ideal for our base [of business] is our strategic location for distribution to all major markets on the East Coast. But it’s also always about the people: Our talented team of associates possesses an extremely strong work ethic and high values.”

Despite competing pressures of globalization and evolving technology, King says that the one element separating Perform Group from its competitors is the company’s continuing quest for innovation. “We continue to try to reinvent ourselves and improve upon ourselves each year.”
