Destination For Yoga

Whether you live in the city or the suburbs, across the river or south of the Mason-Dixon Line, your house awaits you in downtown York: House of Yoga.

This house is the place to drop your guard, take to your mat and be real and honest with yourself in the company of community. It’s community that is the heart of this donation-based yoga studio.

“We are a destination yoga studio,” says Jackie Dahlheimer, owner, teacher and founding member. “House of Yoga is a home away from home — a place where people can just be themselves with no judgments. We believed that a donation-based, member-supported community could thrive in downtown York.” And thrive it has.

House of Yoga has been the force that’s introduced many members of its ever-growing tribe — some who travel to York specifically to practice yoga here — to a thriving downtown York community with its places to dine, shop and explore. Above, three members of the House of Yoga tribe describe what makes this house the downtown York home to people and the practice.
