Located in downtown York, the historic Valencia Ballroom has been making events memorable in the White Rose City for more than a century. Today, the venue is one of only a few Swing-era ballrooms still in existence in the United States open to private and public events. Built in 1911, the Valencia was the go-to place to enjoy Big Band, swing music and dancing through the 1930s thanks to its incredible acoustics and spring-loaded dance floor. In its heyday, the Valencia hosted some of America’s biggest bandleaders and singers, including Glenn Miller and Frank Sinatra.

Today, the White Rose Restaurant Group is proud to maintain the Valencia’s legacy as a premier entertaining and events venue. From private events and wedding receptions to public community celebrations, the White Rose Restaurant Group’s team of hospitality professionals can assist with every aspect of creating memorable events at the Valencia.

Exceptional, creative food and drink are at the heart of the Valencia’s catering menus. Carefully prepared by White Rose Restaurant Group’s co-owner and culinary director Chef David Albright, these menus reflect elegance and sophistication. In addition to prepared menu options ranging from breakfast and plated lunches to dinner buffets and receptions, Chef Albright and his team can create a customized menu for any occasion.

The White Rose Restaurant Group’s Valencia management team also assists businesses, individuals and organizations with their event planning needs and maintains a preferred vendor list for floral design, entertainment, lighting and more.

“We and the Kinsley family (owners of the Valencia Ballroom building) felt it was important to have the Valencia stay true to its roots as a gathering place in the community for people to come together and celebrate their special events in this one-of-a-kind, historic setting,” says Jeremiah Anderson, COO of the White Rose Restaurant Group.

Discover for yourself how this big-city attraction with a Big Band–era legacy offers plenty of big reasons to celebrate your next occasion in style.
